DETAILS:

Project consisted of various concrete column, beam and floor repairs; and repairs to existing steel beams and columns. Concrete repairs included temporary shoring, the removal of deteriorated concrete with chipping hammers and the replacement of corroded reinforcing. Remaining reinforcing and concrete were abrasive blasted followed by the application of a bonding agent and corrosion inhibitor. This was followed by the installation of forms and placement of a flowable polymer modified repair material and/or conventional concrete. Work also included crack repair with epoxy injection, new curbing, grating and various partial and full depth concrete slab repairs. The structural steel repairs consisted of installing temporary shoring, removal and replacement of deteriorated beam and column sections. Other deteriorated steel members were abrasive blasted with steel added.

As is common with industrial repairs, work was very restricted and the plant was required to remain operational while work was being performed.
