DETAILS:

Lake Sherburne Dam is located about 190 miles northwest of Great Falls at the northern entrance of the Glacier National Park at the eastern side.

The project consisted of adding a center concrete wall, bulkhead gates, weather gates, platform and fencing to the existing outlet structure. Repairs were also made to the north and south conduits that travel through the dam structure. These conduits had sustained considerable erosion damage from the high water flow. Repairs included the removal of existing concrete with a Brokk electric selective-controlled concrete demolition hammer, installation of waterstop and placement of high strength silica fume concrete.
